THE WV GYBE MARK - Edition 1/2010
--- Fortnightly Bulletin of Windsurfing Victoria --- FROM THE PRESIDENT Welcome to the first Windsurfing Victoria e=bulletin One of our aims is to increase our communications to our members and the windsurfing community. This is one of our new means of passing on information, introducing the WV committee, providing information about what's on, and giving some background to some of our great local beaches.
When I was first asked if I would like to be nominated to become the president of Windsurfing Victoria, I asked myself what was the key thing I wa background is Project Management and Marketing, I came up with strap line; "Windsurfing Victoria, Increasing the Interest in Windsurfing". From what I've seen over the last few months there are a lot of us out there with the same months away, but we are already seeing the excitement is building. first of our Movie nights back in late May, as well as the first of the 2011 Retailer and Product Opening Nights. In the next few anticipated “The Windsurfing Movie 2” screening at Brighton on Friday the 30th July. For me, one of biggest signs of things to come was the turnout at Rye on the 10th July, with about 50 windsurfers braving the chill. of windsurfers at Green Point too. These turn outs in the middle of winter shows how dedicated we all are for our great sport. Membership renewals has also been coming in fast with a good number of first time members. All of this enthusiasm is fantastic!
